What People Are Saying
“I wanted to take a moment to appreciate how seamlessly Dr. Mohsin switched lanes with me or code-switched with me. From English to Urdu; Navigating cultural nuance, giving me frames of reference to help me manage my thoughts even w religious frame of reference, gender implications, the professional sphere. She did it all seamlessly, mashallah. It was very smooth, natural, and fluid. I was not jarred or felt abruptly interrupted even once. I feel like she is addressing all parts of me, and I like it. And I hope we continue to pick up chemistry and make progress. I am enjoying wiring with her. Thank you for your skill in handling me, making me feel comfortable, building trust, and being in a position to grow. I feel my chest opening up. May Allah grant her barakah and ease too. Ameen.”

“Our family was broken. The dynamic between two stressed adults and an unhappy teen had become a firestorm of hurt feelings and ineffective communication. The three of us had learned what buttons to push to get a reaction from one another and each of us had given up listening, instead focusing solely on trying to be heard. As parents, we had spent so much of our energy and patience bearing the weight of this unhealthy dynamic that we had little left for each other. We had long since forgotten what it was to be a couple. Dr. Sheeza greeted us with compassion and understanding. Her wise and gentle manner, coupled with humility and humor, immediately created a safe environment where all three of us could share our hurts, our fears, and, most importantly, our mistakes. Dr. Sheeza helped us engage effectively and respectfully with one another to repair our broken dynamic. We laughed. We cried. We listened. For the first time in a long time, we all listened. After each session with Dr. Sheeza, we emerged feeling more like a family than we had the week before. In less time than we believed possible, Dr. Sheeza helped us develop tools and skills to better interact with one another and better manage the daily challenges of family life. Wonderfully absent from our family are the tornadoes that would begin with one of us and envelop us all.
Two years later, we still reach out to Dr. Sheeza when life throws us a curve, and we crave her guidance and her seemingly unbounded wisdom. We are truly blessed to have Dr. Sheeza in our lives.”
